Warner Bros. Pictures has officially changed the release date for the upcoming third instalment to the Fantastic Beasts films, which has now been titled as Fantastic Beast: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Originally scheduled for a July 15, 2022 release, the fantasy threequel has now been moved up to three months earlier, and is currently slated to arrive in cinemas on April 15, 2022.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore sees the return of Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Jessica Williams as Professor Eulalie Hicks, and Callum Turner as Theseus.
The film is also set to introduce Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round) as the new Gellert Grindelwald, the villainous character first portrayed by Johnny Depp.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is once again directed by David Yates from a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves. Producers are Heyman, Kloves, Rowling, Lionel Wigram, and Tim Lewis.
